Background:
Arashi Academy is a mysterious japanese private school where all the students who go there have some sort of special power or talent. The adult faculty, however, seem to be oblivious to all of the surroundings. But then again, if so many special students ended up at the same academy, are they really so oblivious? either way, The running of the school falls into the hands of Student Council, a student run group who monitors and tests the students, regulating student activity and giving them ranks based on the level of their ability.
As a result, an underground war is being raged amongst the students of arashi academy. Some are trying to prove themselves in the eyes of their peers, some are trying to hone their special abilities, some are still trying to scratch out a normal teenage existence amongst this chaos. All the action of anime meets all the drama of teenage life!

Character Creation:
If you want to be apart of phantasyhighschoolrp, you must create a student (or could pass for one) anywhere from 7th to 12th grade with a special talent or power, this is essential.

A power is something super-natural like ESP where a talent is something natural like Martial Arts. You can only have one power, but you can have multiple talents. Or you can have a single power and a single talent, or two if they are basic talents.

That brings us to the topic of power level limit. Although, for story sake, rank is determined by power level, for the chatroom's sake, power level is determined by rank.
The thing to understand when asking yourself, how far can I go? is this: you are not the main character of this anime, no one is. You cannot be the most powerful, you cannot be the last hope for the universe, you cannot hold an amazing potential inside you that come out when you are about to lose and smite your enemies. Since this chatroom allows much variety and freedom, it is impossible to set a standard of limit, a seeable line for each rank how far you can go. Therefore, please be open-minded about what others say, and always listen to Student Council. If you've read this far into a block of text, it means you've been reading the rules, therefore, put the term magicman into you're character creation comment or else it won't be approved.
"The Potential" is a special skill that is in every low level character that allows them to put themselves on the level of their opponent for a single attack. You must declare when you are using the potential, and the other person can't bitch about it, unless they are student council. If you are fighting student council, you can only put yourself on the level of an alumni. This isn't to say you can't determine rules of engagement for yourself prior to the fight.

Another thing to remember is not every character has to be based around fighting, you can make you're characters with as much depth or creativity as you want. Rps also don't have to be based around the underground war. You could have an intervention where students confront a friend about a drug problem, you can have a dating rp, etc, etc.
